Days of 47 Parade

We went to the parade on the 24th. Well, actually we went to the first half of it. Kids under 3 seem to lose attention after an hour, especially when it is hot. My favorite part of the parade was the Hill AFB jets that flew over at the beginning and seeing President Monson and his wife.

Lagoon

We made it to Lagoon on Wednesday. We only stayed for a few hours as that is all our young family can take at this point. We got there early hoping to beat the crowds. But, it turns out we got there too early and had to wait for everything to open.

Gracie had a blast. She was just the right height to barely get on most of the rides. She rode almost everything she wanted including Puff, the ladybug drop, the boat ride, the dragonfly, the merri-go-round and a few others that I can't remember what they were called. She also rode on the Tidal Wave with her mom which she absolutely loved. Here are a few of the photos...

Oh yeah... Jared was there too. But, he kinda just hung out this year. He only made it into one photo. He wants everyone to know that they can expect big things from him next year at Lagoon.

Happy Birthday!!!

Dearest Autumn,

As time marches on you just seem to get smarter, more charming, funnier, more talented, more delightful and to top it off... more beautiful! So, I say bring on the birthdays! I hope you have a wonderful day.

Lots of love - Me.

Designer in the making...

Autumn has been on a decorating kick lately and I think it is starting to rub off on Gracie.

Why should I think that? Well, the other day she grabbed one of Autumn's bluish color swatches and a nearby roll of individually wrapped toilet paper. She examined them together and then confidently declared - "That works."

Raft'n

We were in Jackson over the long weekend and here I am just seconds before being launched into the freezing depths of a very angry Snake River. I lost my faithful (and filthy) hat of many years, which was probably for the best as it had seen its better days. Thanks to the warning of Captain Ron (top) I had safely tucked away my $10 sunglasses a few minutes earlier. I am 2 for 2 now in regards to being sucked under by the Snake River. This time was slightly better though... when I did this before as a scout we capsized the whole raft. This time the raft stayed right side up and just the half-dozen of us on my side took the plunge. Good fun!
